The authors of the "Table for your own" campaign are concerned that the campaign may have to be interrupted - the collected funds will only last for one more day. Residents of USA and in any countries are urged to support those in whose hands the future of the country is now.

Since the beginning of the "Table for medical workers " campaign, more than 32,000 food portions have been delivered - New York City. The goal of the campaign is to support health workers involved in the fight against the spread of Covid-19 until the end of the declared state of emergency in the country, providing meals to at least 800 people daily.

The meals are delivered in cooperation with public catering companies that are currently out of service. Thus, restaurants and cafes that have suffered financial losses due to the current situation also receive support. The cost per serving is 20-25 dollars. The campaign is attended by volunteers who organize the delivery of warm food to doctors and medical workers working in an out-of-hours situation, including paramedics, emergency medical teams, as well as medics in mobile tents.

Takeshi Minamoto, head of the "Table for medical workers " campaign emphasizes that now is the time to be United and provide at least minimal support to doctors, to say "thank you" to the people who selflessly continue to work, limiting the spread of Covid-19.

At the beginning of the initiative, we were just a small group of people who wanted to support people who care about our health and safety. In a short time, the campaign received wide support. Already, a large number of businesses and those who can donate funds within their capabilities have been involved in its implementation. Unfortunately, now, on the 27th day of the campaign, the budget from the collected funds has almost run out - there is a high probability that we will have to interrupt the campaign, which allowed us to significantly limit the contacts of doctors with other people, thereby reducing the risk of spreading the virus. Every day we call all possible partners in cooperation, friends and family-with a request to support the doctors, but this is not enough to cover the necessary costs.

It's not Uncommon to hear skeptical comments from people who don't understand why health professionals can't buy their own food. It should be understood that 70% of meals are delivered to emergency medical teams, who risk their health and safety and work under conditions of increased stress, with huge overloads. Therefore, it is important not only to deliver lunch to the doctors, which is often their only opportunity to eat during the day, but also to show solidarity with them, to give them confidence that they are not alone.
